Setel PowerLine
During March of this year Setel Ltd, the leading reseller of voice and data services to the maritime industry, acquired FDN Marine, a company which has very successfully introduced Power Line Communications to the maritime sector and seen phenomenal uptake amongst vessel owners and operators. The fantastic synergy created in the formation of Setel PowerLine Ltd brings together over 10 year’s marine specific experience and client portfolios. Setel PowerLine are introducing their core technology on numerous fronts, combining an in-depth technical understanding, with innovative solution design, quick implementation and through life support.
Setel PowerLine’s solution reduces installation costs and negates the requirement for complicated and time consuming re-cabling by running the IP over the existing on-board electrical circuit. The PowerLine IP network improves all aspects of safety, security, communication and crew welfare, leading to a vast overall improvement in operational performance.
