London. UK.  Human Rights at Sea is delighted to welcome Emma Foley to the role of Head of Development. Emma will lead on all aspects of fundraising, communications, and international growth for the organisation. She joins us with an extensive background in development in both the private and civil sectors.

Emma said: “I cannot think of a more compelling mission than mainstreaming the language of ‘human rights at sea’ to drive positive social change for those who need it most. It is a privilege to join the team and I look forward to helping the organisation raise awareness of human rights abuses at sea – both here and in many countries across the world. The opportunity for growth, in both financial and developmental terms, is very exciting.”

Human Rights CEO, David Hammond said; “Emma brings a wealth of experience in development, as well as a clear passion for human rights. We are delighted to have been able to attract such an impressive person to the role and her appointment is part of a recent recruitment drive to expand our Senior Leadership Team. I am looking forward to be starting 2022 with such a strong and talented team in place, all of whom are committed to ending human rights abuses at sea.”
